The Story Behind The Brew

Brewing a Better Future: Our Mission to Protect Idaho’s National Forests

Our love for the great outdoors began long before we stood beneath the breathtaking peaks of Grand Teton National Park, nervously fumbling with a hidden engagement ring. Growing up, we spent countless hours exploring the forests and mountains across the Northwest, learning to appreciate the wilderness and its unmatched beauty from an early age. These experiences instilled in us a deep respect and enduring passion for nature.

While our journey might have officially started with an unforgettable proposal surrounded by the majestic Tetons; our true story is rooted in the rugged beauty of Idaho. Now proudly calling Boise home, we cherish Idaho’s national forests—Boise, Sawtooth, Salmon-Challis, Payette—as vital parts of our past, present, and future. These landscapes are more than just scenic vistas; they're living reminders of why preservation matters.

And that's why we started Lonely Larch. Every cup of our carefully sourced coffee directly supports conservation initiatives in Idaho’s national forests. Think trail restoration, wildlife habitat protection, and reforestation efforts. We want our love for coffee and Idaho’s forests to blend seamlessly—like a steaming mug and your cold hands in the quiet early morning.

We’re not just another coffee brand—we’re fueled by fresh air, strong brews, and a need to keep wild places wild. Our coffee is crafted to fuel adventures and inspire stewardship, all without taking ourselves too seriously. Because let’s face it, coffee is essential gear, right up there with bear spray, boots, and that tent you swear "is totally waterproof."

As we launch our new website, we invite you along for the journey. Whether you’re an avid backpacker, weekend camper, or someone whose idea of outdoorsy is a patio brunch, we believe everyone has a role to play in protecting our wild spaces.

So, grab your favorite mug, join our community, and let’s brew a better future—one cup at a time.

Keep it Wild Out There.
